Here are a few ways to keep yourself safe online.

  1. Always type in the name of the website you want to go to, never click links from emails. Especially important for banking sites.
  2. Update to the latest service pack/update from windows and microsoft. Security holes are fixed with each release
  3. Use a virus scanner - AVG has a great free product that works really well (We are not associated)
  4. Use antispyware - spybot is good (We are not associated)
  5. Use adaware (NOTE: Not adware!) (We are not associated)
  6. Keep your virus scanner, antispy and adaware software up to date with daily updates!
